Progress Report on Final Project 16

To begin preparing for project 16 I watched Dr. Strange's video, Final Project Discussion, to get an idea on what I will do for Project 16. One of the first subjects he reviews is that he does not want us to draw a quick conclusion in regards to this project. He urges us to THINK about how we will incorporate the technology we have learned to use in his EDM class this semester into our own classroom. He also wants us to think about how we would go about presenting this new technology to other teachers and inspire them to use it also. He goes on to suggest that we may also do project 16 on something that we didn't cover in EDM this semester, such as:Google Earth, Search Processes,etc. Throughout the video, he is basically revealing all the different routes you can go about to create the project.
          Next, I watched the video recommended, Project Based Learning, which shows students all over the U.S. working together in groups to solve specific problems. The one that stuck out the most was the group that was working together to create an online classroom for the year 2015, which is similar to what we'll be doing in project 16. After completion they are critiqued by different sources which is another cool feature of doing a group based project. I wanted to really THINK just like Dr. Strange suggested so I chose to hold off on the other two videos until the date gets closer.
